The GTWS 2023 is a global tournament that welcomes all Gran Turismo 7 players. The series consists of two main championships: the Nations Cup, in which drivers vie for victory representing their individual countries (or territories), and the Manufacturers Cup, where racers compete under the banner of their preferred manufacturer.
There have been several key updates to the championship structure for GTWS 2023. Both the Nations Cup and the Manufacturers Cup will host seven online series events. Top-ranked competitors will progress to the World Series Showdown 2023 in August, followed by the World Finals 2023 in December, which will determine the champions of the 2023 Series.
Consistent with past events, the live competitions will be streamed online and feature comprehensive commentary on the most thrilling face-offs between the world’s elite drivers.
The newly introduced team-based Nations Cup
The initial round of the Nations Cup Online Series is set for May 13. Just like in prior Online Series, gamers will earn individual points; but, in the live events such as the World Series Showdown, the three highest-ranked players from each country’s (or territory’s) top league will form a team of three.
This year’s Nations Cup is set to offer a more diverse representation of each participating country (or territory). Be sure to catch the action to see what unfolds when seasoned racers like last year’s World Finals Winner, Coque López from Spain, join forces with emerging talents.
