F1 fans now have the option to bring the racetrack into their homes thanks to a collaboration between Red Bull and Memento Exclusives, a specialist in sports memorabilia. The show car simulators are based on Red Bull’s very successful RB18 car.
Max Verstappen stormed to a second consecutive drivers’ title in 2022, and Red Bull’s teammate Sergio Perez chipped in with a contribution to the team’s overall victory in the constructors’ championship. Red Bull’s RB18, which was designed by Adrian Newey, won a staggering 17 races out of 22 in 2022.
The simulators will be available in two special editions: ‘The Champions Edition’ and ‘The Race Edition’, with the former featuring a front wing assembly and both coming with the option of either Verstappen or Perez-themed liveries.
The simulators, priced at RRP £99,999 for The Champions Edition and RRP £74,999 for The Race Edition, will be available to buy directly from the official F1 memorabilia e-commerce platform, F1 Authentics – with the first deliveries expected this month.
“We are delighted to have co-created a unique sim racing experience that puts drivers in the cockpit of the championship-winning RB18,” said Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner.
“Driving a Formula 1 car is something most of us can only dream of, but this simulator is as close as it gets to the real thing. Memento Exclusives have recreated the car to bring the track into your home.”
Memento Exclusives was founded by Barry Gough, who is also the company’s Chief Executive Officer. He said, “We are happy to finally announce news of this exciting cooperation with Oracle Red Bull Racing.”
“It is a privilege to be able to produce these excellent RB18 display vehicle simulators, which honor and symbolize their 2022 F1 championship-winning season,” said the company.
“To be trusted to construct and market simulators branded with Oracle Red Bull Racing is a testament to the credentials of our team as well as the faith that the team has in us,” said the team. This symbolizes the beginning of our cooperation with the team, and what a fantastic way to get things started!
