Broadly speaking, it can be said that iconic tracks and races are the trend in popularity within Gran Turismo 7 amongst players, promising close and exciting competitions.
According to Google Trends, the interest in Gran Turismo 7 during this period remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations. This indicates that the type of event significantly impacts driver interest and participation in specific events.
Week 23
This was perhaps the best week for combinations: we had the always-popular Daytona International Speedway with the Mazda Roadster and the always-popular Autódromo José Carlos Pace. The long dynamic weather race at Fuji International Speedway was somewhat one of a kind and engagement was high for most players.
Week 24
The much-appreciated Gr.3 class was the most-visited category at the Red Bull Ring. By contrast, 24 Heures du Mans wasn't as popular since it was a one-make race and not much variety. Less participation was also seen with Grand Valley South, meaning it is more likely people prefer more distinctive or exciting tracks, but it also indicated that Red Bull Ring was the only viable option.
Week 30
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps was the standout track this week, with 71,019 registered times. This was a real reflection of an old favourite and undoubtedly a challenging track. Engagement at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta was lower, however, where drivers had to consistently abuse track limits to achieve competitive times, which may have been off-putting to some players.

Conclusion
From the data, it is clear that players prefer iconic tracks that give close racing. The highest average of participants by event was in Daily B events, with the Red Bull Ring, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca among the highest. We also can't exclude other factors that affected player count, and therefore can't make a valid conclusion without player satisfaction per event.
Daily A races, in turn, were shorter and less complicated than their counterparts but kept a good number of participants; this means they favored simpler races that could be done quickly. In contrast, Daily C with its endurance and technical racing tracks surprisingly attracted fewer players on average, possibly showing that it is associated with a specialty that appeals to a niche audience looking for a different kind of challenge.
However, it is therefore a valid pointer to the fact that players like driving at world-class internationally famous circuits designed to ensure close and competitive racing.
