Designed for GT

At first glance, the Porsche Vision GT wheel looks like something plucked straight out of a sci-fi film. It’s sleek, sharp, and daringly different. But this isn’t just about looks. The 310mm diameter makes it versatile enough for multiple racing styles, while the lightweight cast aluminum structure delivers exceptional strength, perfect for direct drive setups with serious torque.

Design-wise, this wheel isn’t just a stylized homage to Porsche, it’s a direct physical representation of the Porsche Vision Gran Turismo concept car, which has been a playable highlight in Gran Turismo 7 since launch. This means that when you grab the wheel, you’re literally holding the same control design featured in the game’s cover car, a full-circle moment for fans of both Porsche and the GT franchise. It’s a striking blend of digital fantasy brought into the physical world, built for racers who want their sim rig to feel like the real deal.

There are eight push buttons, including two that are integrated directly into the rim, along with seven rotary encoders. Four of those encoders are seamlessly tucked into the spokes and rim, offering quick access without compromising the design. The Porsche crest doubles as the Tuning Menu button, while the onboard OLED display shows telemetry data like gear and speed or lets you dive into your tuning settings.

Tactaris - Fanatec’s New Fiber

One of the standout innovations is the use of Tactaris, Fanatec’s brand-new microfiber material debuting with this wheel. Designed as a more durable, sweat-resistant alternative to Alcantara, Tactaris offers the kind of grip and comfort sim racers need for those long sessions, whether you prefer gloves or bare hands. It’s supposed to be breathable, easy to clean, and adds a layer of tactile quality that makes every corner feel more connected.

Quick Release System

What makes this wheel especially noteworthy is that it comes preinstalled with Fanatec’s QR2 Lite Wheel-Side, a welcome upgrade from the older QR1 system. While it’s not the most advanced quick release in Fanatec’s lineup (that title goes to the full-metal QR2), the QR2 Lite still provides a much-improved connection and eliminates the torque limitations that plagued earlier setups. The result is a more secure, consistent feel, even when paired with higher-torque bases like the ClubSport DD or Podium DD series.
