Polyphony Digital has revealed the highly anticipated schedule for the 2025 Gran Turismo World Series live events, and this year promises exciting changes, fresh venues, and plenty of action for fans. Here's everything you need to know about the new locations, event dates, and updates to the format.

New Cities

The 2025 Gran Turismo World Series is going global with four new cities set to host the live events. The schedule will feature six online qualifier races in each series before the excitement heads to three in-person events, culminating in the World Final later in the year.

While London kicks off the action on June 7, the series will also make stops in Berlin (Sept 20), Los Angeles (Nov 8), and Fukuoka, Japan (Dec 20-21). These locations are a fresh twist, marking the first time Gran Turismo hits these cities for the live events.

The World Final will take place in Fukuoka, Japan, on December 20-21. Fukuoka is home to Polyphony Digital’s second Japanese office, making it a fitting location for the grand finale.

Changes to the Qualification System

The Nations Cup will see some changes in 2025, with a "seeding" system in place. This means the top three drivers from 2024, Takuma Miyazono, Kylian Drumont, and Jose Serrano, are already qualified for the 2025 events. As a result, there will be fewer spots available for other drivers to qualify. With just 12 spots total, the qualification process will be more competitive than ever, with drivers contending for a chance to join the global stage.

As for the Manufacturers Cup, it remains largely unchanged. 12 brands will compete, but expect one additional spot to open up due to the absence of Genesis from the series sponsorship list this time around. This means Mazda and Toyota likely have automatic spots, while the remaining 10 spots are up for grabs in the online qualifiers.

Live Stream and Event Rewards

All four events will be live streamed across the official Gran Turismo channels, and if previous years are anything to go by, expect plenty of rewards and bonuses for fans. From in-game gifts to special predictions, there will be plenty of ways to get involved in the excitement.

The action kicks off in just two weeks with the first Manufacturers Cup qualifier round on April 2, 2025.
